Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a MA RN license and current AHA certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital serving a year-round island community
• Unit provides surgical care for both local residents and seasonal visitors
• Five 8-hour day shifts with variable start times
• Includes call on nights, weekends, and holidays with average weekend coverage every three weeks
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Shared housing is provided at no cost
• Flu vaccine is required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
• Position involves both surgical care duties and periodic 24-hour call coverage on holidays and weekends
• Parking at some locations may require out-of-pocket costs
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos system

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Primary source verification of professional license required prior to start
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
