Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) for the 20252026 school year, with the potential to extend into ESY. This role will support middle and high school students with a behaviorally intensive caseload.
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support for students with diverse needs
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with the educational team
Utilize evidence-based strategies to support student growth and positive outcomes
Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications:
Active Connecticut Special Education Certification (required)
Current CPR Training (required)
PMT (Physical Management/Restraint) Training (preferred)
Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
