You’ll help create an exceptional experience for every guest who visits our fresh meat department — whether they’re picking out a favorite cut for a family dinner or planning a special occasion.

What You’ll Do

• Cut, trim, and prepare fresh beef, pork, and other meat according to Meijer’s quality standards.
• Follow production schedules to meet daily and promotional needs.
• Ensure displays are well-stocked, visually appealing, and maintained with care.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing fresh meat deliveries.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation procedures to the highest standard.
• Deliver warm, friendly customer service and build relationships with guests.
• Partner with team members and leadership to keep the department running smoothly.

What You’ll Bring

• Passion for fresh food and craftsmanship in meat cutting.
• Knowledge of weights, measures, and proper cutting techniques.
• Attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prior meat-cutting or butchery experience required —we’re happy to train you the Meijer way!
• Hand jack/Hilo license a plus.
