Job Details Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Sr. Human Resources Manager (SHRM) to successfully administer the Human Resources processes for organization.
- Schedule meetings and interviews for open positions.
- Assist with Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Employee Relations, Employee Classification, Disciplinary Actions, Terminations, Leaves of Absence, Security and Background checks.
- Support full cycle recruitment process via preparation of job descriptions and postings for internal and external advertisements, accessing candidates, and onboarding of new staff. Work with outside staffing agencies when needed.
- Maintain employee records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, increases, tracking vacation and sick time. Ensuring Paylocity has accurate and up to date employee census information.
- Stay abreast of State and Federal employment and labor laws. Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are compliant. In partnership with SHRM, assure that the Employee Handbook is compliant and updated at least annually. Communicate policies and procedures to all staff members.
- Ensures security and confidentiality of all employee records. Assures that employee records are maintained according to federal/state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state payroll, wage and hour requirements.
- Assure that information is accurately entered into the payroll system; check and verify that payroll deductions/withholdings for each pay period are accurate.
- Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll process is accurate and within deadlines.
- Assist with the preparation of payroll reports to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
- Assist with 403(b) enrollments, communications and mandatory reporting.
- Assist with management of benefits plans (medical, dental, vision, FSA's and retirement plans). Help identify opportunities for automating, streamlining and reducing manual administrative work.
- Assure eligible employees are added timely according to contract and terminated employees are removed timely.
- Communicates benefits structures to employees; may assist in resolving issues and troubleshooting without violating HIPAA law.
- HR credit card reconciliation and expense reports.
- Foster positive employee relations and assist with employee celebrations.
- Support special projects as assigned.

- Recruit volunteers for appropriate shifts and tasks.
- Interview and screen potential volunteers.
- Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding the volunteer program.
- Organize and conduct the orientation and training of volunteers and update training materials and programs as needed.
- Match volunteers to appropriate tasks, seeking to fulfill the needs of the organization as well as the individual.
- Maintain volunteer records and coordinate volunteer schedules, noting special skills and interests.
- Prepare operational reports on volunteer activities and note incidents and injuries.
- Prepares and distribute calendar of volunteer job assignments and monitors compliance by volunteers.
- Regularly survey staff to reassess need for volunteer assistance and update job assignments as needed.
- Work closely with staff to supervise volunteers in performance of duties providing them continuous feedback, periodic performance evaluations and special guidance when requested or required.
- Create and implement recognition programs to honor volunteers.
- Facilitate any issues or disputes, up to and including terminating volunteers not fulfilling the required duties.
- Fulfill speaking engagements relating to the volunteer program and community outreach.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years human resource generalist experience preferred
- 3+ years' experience managing volunteers / a volunteer program
- Experience processing payroll and payroll reporting
