Job Summary
The HIM Assistant III is responsible for maintaining patient medical records through timely, accurate and complete record collection, electronic filing, data entry and scanning while adhering to HIPAA, County, State, Federal and CoxHealth Rules, Regulations and policies regarding privileged information
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
Preferred: Previous experience in Health Information Management.
Skills
Knowledge of the legal regulations regarding the release of confidential patient information.
Knowledge of County, State, and Federal court system.
Excellent knowledge of Soarian, Cerner, Document Imaging and other software utilized by Cox Health Systems.
Knowledge of current medical terminology.
Very detailed oriented.
