Job Description

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Experience working in the field on construction and project sites
• Ability to travel throughout Ohio when needed - Columbus area - suburbs -furthest north is Johnstown
• Valid driver’s License and ability to pass MVR check required

Plusses:

• Experience recording data and compiling field reports
• ACI Concrete Field Testing certificate/training
• Nuclear Densometer Safety certificate/training
• Experience testing concrete, asphalt, soil

Job Summary:

This candidate will be supporting one of Insight Global's clients, where they will be performing material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete and concrete at the time of placement on an active construction site. Candidates will also be responsible for recording daily installed construction quantities as well as generating and filing field reports as required by project plans, specifications, or project staff.

Day to Day:

• Perform material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete and concrete at the time of placement on an active construction site.
• Interpret specifications and working drawings.
• Field inspection, testing, sampling, equipment, and equipment maintenance on assigned project.
• Obtain and record field data, in a legible and organized fashion; as required by the plans, specifications, or project staff. Generate and compile field reports.
• Record daily installed construction quantities.
• Speak with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and owner’s representatives.
• Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.
• Maintain equipment as required.
• Understand and follow the public health and safety requirements and the proper safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
