Job Description
Summary
Support and meet the overall sales objectives of Signature Mechanical. Supports the plumbing sales team with new, remodel/retrofit and replacement project estimates that meet our client’s expectations. Work directly with customers and field technicians in delivering detailed and accurate estimates in a timely manner.
Core Responsibilities
Providing customer solutions and technical work is at the heart of what the job will entail:
Estimate both Design/Build to plan spec projects
Determine and draft a Scope of Work
Collect and evaluate quotes/bids from vendors and subcontractors
Produce accurate, timely and competitive estimates
Collaborate and communicate while managing relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, co-workers and owners
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
Negotiation and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to track multiple projects at the same time, and to work under pressure, often to tight deadlines
Education and Experience Required
Demonstrated experience with Mechanical wet side and plumbing estimating
Experience with FastEST, FastDuct and FastPipe is preferred
Knowledge of commercial Mechanical wet side piping and commercial plumbing
Working knowledge of federal, state and city regulations and guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Outlook and Excel)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Hybrid Role—Office, Field and Remote combination, standard business hours but may need to be flexible for after hour customer/project needs.
