Role: COBOL Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities
Convert business/technical requirements into well-structured COBOL programs.
Maintain and enhance custom mainframe applications (batch processes, screens, reports, queries).
Review existing code, data, and business logic for improvements and troubleshooting.
Perform testing: update test files, run test cycles, validate results, and document outcomes.
Analyze and correct data issues using application logic; generate analysis/summary reports.
Support migration efforts from COBOL to web-based applications.
Prepare program-level and user-level documentation.
Improve system performance by optimizing code and processes.
Follow organizational procedures for source code management, migration, and deployment.
Obtain user sign-off for all production changes.
