As a Armed Security Guard - Corrections Location in Nashville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. You will conduct regular armed patrols, remain highly visible, and interact professionally with the public, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This position also involves driving responsibilities as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor and control access points to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed for incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
