BrandStar Digital is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior WordPress Developer supporting client website projects.

The Senior WordPress Developer is responsible for designing and implementing attractive and functional websites that meet the design and functionality specifications of the clients. This involves both front-end and back-end development, including the implementation of themes and plugins, as well as site integration and security updates. The Senior WordPress Developer should have advanced working knowledge of how the WordPress CMS platform works and experience using it to build and maintain mobile responsive SEO friendly websites based on the latest industry best practices.

Specific responsibilities of the Senior WordPress Developer include:

• Participate in client meetings or obtain client specifications from internal teams relevant to required website design and function.
• Design and build the website front-end including the creation of landing pages and desired content.
• Design, architect, and manage website back-end including database and server integration such as popular CRMs and marketing automation software.
• Manage and update website content including text, images, videos, blog posts, articles, and multimedia elements ensuring accuracy and relevance for clients.
• Customize and generate themes to match the company's branding and design guidelines.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate plugins and tools to maximize website functionality and user experience including loading time, internal and external linking, overall website performance, and SEO potential.
• Conduct website performance tests. Implement optimization techniques as needed.
• Troubleshoot content issues.
• Implement security best practices to protect the website from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Implement tracking codes for various digital advertising and marketing efforts.
• Ensure websites are SEO-friendly, implementing on-page SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
• Test and optimize websites for compatibility across various browsers and devices.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years experience working as a WordPress Developer required.
• Previous work experience of 2+ years within a digital agency or web development firm preferred.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Demonstrated advanced-level knowledge of website design using WordPress, HubSpot, Yoast SEO, and other digital advertising software tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Callrail, WooCommerce, Elementor Pro, WPengine, and WPML.
• Advanced knowledge of graphic design and editing in Adobe Photoshop or similar software.
• Solid understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Must be able to collaborate effectively with internal team at all levels and external vendors.
• Organized; with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
