Production Supervisor - Metal Fabrication - Base Salary to 80k/year - Hughesville, PA

• Our client, a well-established Building Products manufacturer is currently seeking a Production Supervisor at their busy fabrication shop (light and heavy fabrication, miscellaneous metals, mostly mild steel) in the Hughesville, PA area. Our client is an inspiring global leader in architectural building products with 70+ years of experience supporting a wide range of markets.
• In this role, the Production Supervisor will coach and facilitate the group, monitor continuous and efficient production quantity and quality according to customer requirements, help resolve issues and help out “hands-on” with production as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assign work and direct team in production group
• Assure quality of work through accuracy, neatness, attention to details
• Achieve maximum efficiency and productivity of group personnel
• Ensure that work group has necessary resources to complete requirements
• Work with the team to establish effective communication regarding goals
• Coordinate flow of work within or between departments
• Review schedules to establish sequence and lead times
• Partner with supply chain to ensure appropriate flow of materials
• Recommend improvements
• Process performance evaluations of all direct reports and assist in recruiting
• Train /coach/ facilitate work group; assist in identifying training needs
• Maintain compliance (policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping)

Qualifications:

• 3+ years supervisory / management experience over Metal Fabrication process and equipment including MIG welding (some prior hands-on experience needed)
• Basic computer skills & ability to read fabrication drawings
• Systems and continuous improvement orientation
• Inventory Management

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k – 80k/year range
