Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room nurse for a Level 1 trauma OR position requiring charge experience and a GA or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in an adult operating room within a hospital setting
• Covers 21 operating rooms and provides care for all surgical services including Level 1 trauma, laparoscopic, endoscopic, orthopedics, and neuro procedures
• Utilizes lasers, endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, and robotics
• Electronic nursing documentation is used in the department
• Works 2045-0715 shifts and may work various shifts to meet staffing needs
• No floating outside of the operating room; shifts may vary within OR
• Primarily responsible for circulating on a variety of surgical cases including Level 1 trauma procedures, total joints, ortho trauma, and specialty neuro surgeries
• Provides individualized direct patient care and participates in assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
• Expected to participate in department and unit process improvement initiatives and meet continuing education requirements
• Approximately 1 to 2 weeks of orientation provided to agency staff

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active Georgia or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Greater than 3 years of experience in an acute care facility is required
• Charge RN experience is required
• Computer skills necessary for electronic documentation
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills with fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
