We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will providetechnical leadership, program-level oversight, and subject matter expertisein testing methodologies for large-scale, safety-critical FAA systems.This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs. In this position, you will: Lead the development ofenterprise-level test strategies, test plans, and methodologies. Overseesystem, integration, performance, and acceptance testingacross FAA workstreams. Providesubject matter expertiseon testing processes, standards, and best practices. Manage and mentortest engineers and analysts, ensuring consistency and quality. Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and stakeholders todefine test requirements and acceptance criteria. Ensure all testing complies withFAA standards, NIST RMF, FISMA, and safety frameworks. Direct the use oftest automation, simulation, and validation toolsfor efficiency. Prepare and deliverexecutive-level reports, dashboards, and risk assessments. Support FAA leadership intest readiness reviews, certification, and accreditation activities. Prepare audit-ready test documentation and compliance reports. Conductrisk-based testingfor safety- and mission-critical systems. Oversee test performance. Leaddefect management, resolution tracking, and root cause analysisfor system issues. Guide modernization initiatives, and ensure all delivered systems meet FAA safety, performance, and compliance standards. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or or Associate’s degree and 14 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience. Experience in software testing andtesting methodologies, Strong background in test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, PyTest, or similar). Proficiency with test management platforms (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM). Experience supporting federal IT compliance standards (NIST 800-53, RMF, FISMA, FedRAMP). Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). Preferred Qualifications : Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience. Knowledge ofFAA Safety Management System (SMS)and how safety integrates into testing. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to brief FAA leadership. Professional certifications such asISTQB Test Manager, PMP, SAFe Release Train Engineer, or CSTE. Experience supportingFAA NextGen modernization programsor NAS testing initiatives. Background inaviation, aerospace, or defense systems testing. Familiarity withICAO standards and international aviation safety testing practices. Experience withautomated regression frameworks, digital twins, or advanced simulation environments.
