Job Objective:
To establish and maintain long-term customer relationships by servicing assigned accounts and providing outstanding customer service. To reinforce sales management practices to enhance all levels of sales and profit within the branch.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.


Customer Relations
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit goals established in consultation with branch management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers, including key accounts
  • Present new products to customers
  • Ensure follow-up with customers on orders and inquiries
  • Maintain and update customer pricing
Leadership
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Promote company capabilities to customers
  • Promote marketing promotions and programs to customers
  • Develop and maintain vendor relations
  • Explain company policies and procedures (e.g., warranty information, collections policy, return goods policy)
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Assist in training other associates and act as a mentor
  • Contribute to the development of annual sales strategies and customer plans
  • Monitor sales trends and product performance
  • Support inside sales associates with account planning and customer service
  • Continuously improve sales techniques and professional presentation
General Expectations
  • Review trial balance with Credit Manager monthly
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle
  • Professionally represent the company at all times, ensuring quality customer service
  • Follow all company policies and applicable safety procedures
  • Support overall company programs, goals, and initiatives
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Perform responsibilities in a manner that promotes health and safety for all

  • Aging accounts (90 days)
  • Timeliness of credit resolution
  • Customer satisfaction and feedback
  • New account acquisition
  • Sales of priority/strategic products
  • Inventory and order accuracy
  • Progress against sales budget
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales role
  • Industry experience in lubricants or similar is a plus but not required
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) preferred
