Position Description: .indent-list ul {list-style-position:inside;}The Department of Anthropology seeks a cultural anthropologist, geographic area open, for a one-year term position with the possibility of renewal. The Department of Anthropology at DePaul offers an undergraduate major, two minors, and contributes to three additional minor programs in our college. We are seeking a colleague who is an enthusiastic and committed college educator, as this position is focused exclusively on teaching with 9 courses over three ten-week quarters being the expected workload. These courses will contribute to department programs as well as the universitys liberal studies (general education) curriculum.
Qualifications:We seek a candidate who is an excellent classroom teacher, and who also has experience teaching community-based, project-learning courses. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Anthropology and a record of at least three years of successful university-level teaching

About DePaul University's Academic Calendar
Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).
