Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This entry-level role is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1+ year of experience in accounting who is eager to grow within a reputable company. You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with financial reporting, general ledger, journal entries, sales tax, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries and journal entries
• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, ensuring they are timely and accurate
• Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Maintain and update accounting records and documentation
• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial information
• Assist with internal and external audits as required
• Identify and contribute to process improvements within the accounting function
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1+ year of relevant accounting experience (internships or previous positions are a plus)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred but not required)
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A desire to learn and grow within the accounting field
