Direct Hire Staff Accountant Role Available in La Crosse, WI - Join a Dedicated CPA Firm!

Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay: Base Wage plus overtime and Quarterly bonus'
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts most of the year. There is an opportunity for overtime. Many Staff Accountants choose to work 45-55 hours/week during tax season, maintaining a unique work-life balance for the accounting industry while earning overtime and/or extra paid time off.

Role Overview:

As a Staff Accountant , you will:

• Process payroll for business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Initiate payroll tax payments and payroll returns.
• Handle complex bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare business and individual income tax returns.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior accounting/bookkeeping experience or an associate degree in accounting is required.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
