Sr Revenue Accountant

Position Overview
The Sr Revenue Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the revenue accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. This role involves financial reporting and analysis, contributing to month-end close processes, and ensuring accurate billing and reconciliation of revenue accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and company policies
• Prepare and review financial reports related to revenue and billing
• Oversee the month-end close processes related to revenue accounting
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax audits
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in revenue accounts
• Utilize ERP systems for effective revenue tracking and reporting
• Assist in the preparation of audit materials and respond to auditor inquiries
• Maintain and improve internal controls related to revenue accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue accounting in the Oil/Gas Upstream industry
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial analysis
• Proficient in Excel and experience with ERP systems (BOLO preferred)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of tax compliance and auditing processes
