We are seeking a skilled SQL and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust SQL queries and ETL processes. As an SQL and ETL Developer at Medido Health, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust SQL queries and ETL processes to support our data integration, transformation, and reporting needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient SQL queries and ETL workflows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As an SQL and ETL Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Developing ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target databases or data warehouses.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Performing data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Monitoring and optimizing ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for SQL queries, ETL processes, and data mappings.
  • Staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in SQL, ETL, and data integration.

Minimum Degree and Years of Experience Required:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

At least three years of proven work experience or equivalent.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proven experience as an SQL Developer or ETL Developer.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Sybase).
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts and experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS).
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and data manipulation tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Certification in SQL or ETL technologies is a plus.
