In the role of Solid Waste Project Manager/Planner, we'll count on you to: Contribute towards the development of long-range waste management strategic plans for local governments and private companies Research, identify, assess, and evaluate alternate diversion and disposal technologies and programs Develop calculations and projections as needed Support planning and approvals processes for a range of waste management facilities Lead permitting efforts on facilities Develop and lead public procurements including RFEI, RFQ, RFP Assist in preparing project reports, memorandums, and presentations by knowing the receiving audience perspective Foster client relationships through marketing and preparation of proposals for new projects Incorporate strategic communications and engagement with multiple stakeholders Lead and coordinate projects across California and the United States, collaborating with staff in our various offices or with strategic partners Work on comparable, new, and exciting projects around HDR's network Other duties as assigned #LI-JF1 Keywords: Solid Waste Project Manager/Planner, solid waste, waste management, TRUE Advisor, SWANA Zero Waste Preferred Qualifications Certified as TRUE Advisor and / or SWANA Zero Waste Knowledge of Circular Economy and Extended Producer Responsibilities Knowledge of Environmental Justice Knowledge of Solid Waste Management Systems Experience in general civil or environmental engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field 7 years related experience A minimum of 2 years project management experience Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
