Location: Remote NASA's Stennis Space Center, Mississippi 39529



Security Clearance:


Must be a US Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance.


A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.



Salary Range - $ $74,000 - $86,000



Job Summary:


Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology Solutions [AEGIS] contract is seeking an experienced candidate to be part of the Software Engineering team responsible for support operations and maintenance of NASA computing and storage services that encompasses enterprise and center-based physical and virtualized on premise data center infrastructure, managed cloud infrastructure, and associated cybersecurity support for NASA data center and managed cloud environments operated by OCIO Cloud & Computing Services.



Key Responsibilities:

• Applies advanced knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software.
• Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
• Participates in development of software user manuals.
• Other duties as assigned

• BS Degree in Technical Field with 4+years Software Engineering experience
• Excellent communication skill
• Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship for government clearance eligibility

Physical Requirements:


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and the location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Possible lifting up to 50 lbs.
