This is an exciting time as we are rapidly expanding and adding additional investigator positions to fill an increasing demand by our clients. We are looking for part time (may convert to full-time for the right candidate), self-motivated people who may already have SIU (field/desktop) experience or who are looking to break into the field of insurance special investigations (fraud investigations). This is not a surveillance position. Interested applicants must be highly self-motivated, creative, thoughtful problem solvers who take pride in their work product. Ideal candidates will have the ability to collaborate with others and efficiently work alone. Investigators will be expected to manage their time/schedule to ensure necessary report writing requirements are turned in timely. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. A strong command of the English language will help you succeed in this position. The job may require travel throughout the state of Arizona; however, most of our cases are in the Phoenix Metro area or Tucson.

You Will

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and report findings into complex auto claims, including, but not limited to fires, thefts, vandalisms, staged accidents, jump-ins and other complex first and third-party claims.
  • Investigate first-party liability claims to include overall liability, coverage concerns, permissive use and rate evasion.
  • Ability to devise and implement an investigative plan relevant to the type of claim to be investigated.
  • Accurately document the investigation as it progresses from start to finish.
  • Provide live verbal and written updates to clients and internal personnel (as needed).
  • Ability to identify and follow new investigative leads as they are developed.
  • Ability to search out and obtain external records to include police reports, court records and other records relevant to the claim investigation.

About You

  • 1-2+ years investigative or claims experience required
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Auto Physical Damage, Fire & Theft, and/or SIU
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-managed, motivated, and confident
  • Able to work well under deadlines in a high paced, changing environment
  • Effective team player
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience

What you need

  • A Valid Arizona Driver’s License
  • A dependable vehicle
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and obtain AZ DPS licensing as a private investigator employee
  • Investigative Tools (Windows or Mac laptop, still camera, video recorder, covert camera. voice recorder, etc.) helpful, but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time or internship

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)
