Purpose
Red Aspen is looking for a highly-skilled and experienced Shopify Developer to work with our IT and eCommerce team on new ecommerce projects, from the discovery phases through implementation and deployment of the projects. In addition, they will maintain and enhance our existing Shopify Plus ecommerce website while adhering to best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise in full-stack development to design, build, and deploy custom ecommerce solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and a user-friendly experience
- Execute complex customizations and integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between Shopify and various third-party applications, APIs, and services.
- Conduct in-depth performance audits of website, identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimizations to improve site speed, responsiveness, and conversion rates

- Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional, mobile-responsive pages on Shopify that align with brand aesthetics.
- Regularly review industry trends and keep up-to-date with the latest Shopify development practices, tools, and frameworks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of ecommerce web development experience.
- 3 or more Shopify Plus project implementation experience
- Experience/Knowledge of steps involved in migration of an existing commerce site running on a different platform to Shopify Platform (eg: Magento to Shopify)
- Prior experience with product/Customer/Order import Export management
- Experience integrating with backend systems such as ERPs, WMS, OMS, etc.
- Expert in Shopify Liquid template language, Shopify APIs, GraphQL and REST API working knowledge
- Cross-functional and executive collaboration
- Exceptional project and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously or in a team
- Background in Product modeling and configuration via Shopify Admin
- Understanding of Product, Discount, Inventory, Fulfillment, Order APIs and customizations using the APIs
- Awareness of the Marketing Events, Discounts, Gift Cards and their configurations in Shopify
- Experience with Shopify instance management and configuration
- Knowledge in data migration and synchronization between Shopify instances
- Solid knowledge of performance improvement best practices.
- Comfortable researching and adopting new web technologies.
- Familiar with SEO / SEM best practices
- Prior experience with React / Node / NoSQL stacks is nice to have
- Must have a love for tacos or sushi!
