Shipping Specialist I
Location: New Brighton, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:30 PM
Pay: $20.00/hour
About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented
Shipping Specialist I to help fulfill customer orders and prepare shipments accurately and on time. In this hands-on role, you'll select products, inspect for quality, package professionally, and ensure labels and documentation are completed correctly. You'll thrive if you enjoy teamwork, take pride in neat, safe work, and can meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do - Select products by SKU and description using a handheld scanner to fulfill orders
- Verify order accuracy; inspect products for quality and damage
- Clean and bag parts (as needed) and pack orders safely and professionally
- Print and affix shipping labels using order fulfillment software
- Sort packages by destination and carrier; process receipts and shipments promptly
- Meet daily shipping deadlines and production flow requirements
- Identify and escalate quality concerns or process issues promptly
- Keep your workstation clean and organized; sweep, dust, and mop as needed
- Collaborate with team members to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines
Qualifications Required - High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- 0-2 years of experience in order fulfillment, shipping, or warehouse operations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs s afely from floor to table
- Strong attention to detail; reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working with computers and using scanners/label software
Preferred - International shipping experience
- Experience in medical device or regulated environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; basic programming exposure a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including holidays and weekends
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a changing environment
Compensation & Schedule - Hourly Pay: $20.00
- Hours: 10:00 AM-6:30 PM, Monday-Friday
- Location: On-site in New Brighton, MN
Work Environment & Physical Requirements - On-site warehouse/production setting
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety protocols
