Impact As a Senior Software Engineer on the Market Dynamics team, you will collaborate with a talented cross-functional group of Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to build data-driven solutions that shape customer delivery promises and optimize shopper supply strategies. Our goal is to ensure we meet member expectations while maximizing operational efficiency. You will work with several Go-based microservices, leveraging Machine Learning models to drive impactful, scalable solutions. Responsibilities include developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring your contributions to ensure they create value for end users and align with our business objectives. What You'll Need to Be Successful 5+ Years of Software Development Experience with Go, Python, Java, C/C++. Ability to design, develop, test (unit/integration), deploy, and maintain backend REST API services with a focus on performance and latency. Experience working with SQL (Postgres). Participation in designing efficient, scalable, and maintainable architecture. Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems and performance bottlenecks using data. Willingness to monitor and own production services. Strong collaboration skills with engineers, data scientists, and product partners. Self-driven, outcome-oriented mindset focused on delivering value. Passion for learning and mentoring others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with systems that integrate with Machine Learning models. Experience optimizing Python and Machine Learning inference pipelines for latency. Work Arrangement Candidates near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis may work in a hybrid model, with flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at an office.
