Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Medical Director to join our growing Behavioral Health team. In this critical leadership role, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight for a range of programs and initiatives aimed at improving the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of behavioral healthcare services.
What You'll Do:
Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical direction and oversight to an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals, including medical directors, physician advisors, and care managers.
Quality Improvement: Develop and implement innovative quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of care delivery.
Utilization Management: Oversee utilization management activities, ensuring appropriate and cost-effective utilization of healthcare resources.
Network Development: Collaborate with providers and health plans to develop and maintain a high-quality network of behavioral healthcare providers.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards, including NCQA and URAC.
Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including health plan partners, state agencies, and community organizations.
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of medical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
What You'll Bring:
Medical Expertise: MD, DO, or MBBS degree with successful completion of US-based residency and board certification in Psychiatry or a related specialty.
Clinical Experience: Minimum 7 years of clinical experience, including significant experience in direct patient care.
Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong track record of success in leading and managing teams.
Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
