Job Description

My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in the Greater Indianapolis area. This role involves preparing accurate bids, analyzing project costs, and supporting preconstruction efforts for commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field or a Journeyman’s License
• Strong skills in MS Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software (e.g., Accubid)
• Solid understanding of NEC, electrical theory, and construction documents
• Experience with one-lines, feeder/branch layouts, and design/build concepts
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Team leadership ability and willingness to travel occasionally
• Must reside in or be open to relocating to the Greater Indianapolis area

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and revise cost estimates, proposals, and change orders
• Collaborate with project managers and business development teams
• Analyze cost trends and suggest improvements
• Perform and lead project takeoffs and vendor quote evaluations
• Oversee project handoffs and lead design/build bids
• Mentor junior estimators and follow up on outstanding bids
