We are seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer for our project in Kingman, Arizona.

The purpose of this position is to continuously monitor production output optimize process efficiency in line with plan capacity and sound processing principles. The focus of this role would be engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, EPCM, EPC SIB and optimization projects.

Responsibilities: Main functions include (but not limited to):

Design Engineering, responsible for:

  • Collaboration with Process/Piping in development of Piping and Instrument Diagrams
  • Instrument and Automated Valve Lists
  • Instrument and Automated Valve Datasheets
  • SCADA and Process Control Communications Network Diagrams
  • PLC Input/Output List
  • Instrument and Automated Valve Layout Drawings
  • Instrument and Automated Valve Schematic and Wiring Diagrams
  • Instrument Loop Diagrams
  • Procurement of Instrument and Automated Valves
  • Procurement of Process Control Systems, HMI, PLC, Input/Output Panels

Engineering Responsibilities

  • Carry out innovative detailed designs as required for specific disciplines following good engineering practices.
  • Ensure that the discipline designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specifications, industry standards and the relevant legislation (quality of design).
  • Provide design interface between disciplines.
  • Ensure (certified) design information received from vendors, contractors and consultants is accurate and interfaces with other designs.
  • Ensure the effective (peer) review and approval of discipline design.
  • Ensure continuous improvement, lessons learnt, value engineering, fit for purpose and latest technologies are implemented.
  • Carry the responsibility for the engineering discipline sign off.
  • Interface with internal and external design and drafting disciplines.
  • Provide discipline inputs for studies and proposals.
  • Provide engineering support to the site team.
  • Perform commissioning discipline activities.
  • Manage the discipline engineering handover and support to the client
  • Mentor all ECI engineering disciplines
  • Support the Principal Engineers, ECI Managers and the HOD

Operational Management

  • Ensure that relevant project procedures are complied with.
  • Participate in the Total Safety Culture of DRA and site safety requirements.
  • Assist with the commissioning.
  • Ensure that reports are structured, accurate, complete, and well presented.
  • Manage proactive communication with project team with respect to discipline interface and problem solving.
  • Ensure proper change management procedure is adhered to.
  • Ensures proactive flow of information, involvement, and communications with the complete DRA project team.
  • Ensures that DRA remains the Clients engineering service provider of choice.
  • Liaises and co-ordinates with the client’s discipline engineers to ensure adherence to project and client requirements and specifications.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience in a similar role within the multi-disciplinary EPCM, Mining & Mineral
  • Bilingual (English/French), Spanish language would be advantageous
