The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, contributing to accounting-based internal processes and workflows.
  • Working within Quickbooks, Rootstock ERP and Salesforce CRM platforms.
  • Oversee the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes working with other admin and operations functions.
  • Manage monthly inventory reconciliation process and ensure accuracy of financial reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Work with senior management on tax filings, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain efficient data entry workflows to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other members of operations team to analyze financial performance, identify cost savings opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Help optimize and streamline inventory and purchasing processes, working with operations team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • > 5 years in a corporate accounting role.
  • Ideally for related manufacturing industries with similar supply chains, logistics, and operational complexities, such as medical devices, electronics, or lighting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred). MBA ideal.
  • Strong experience and skills using Quickbooks and MS Office software.
  • Ideally working knowledge of Rootstock ERP, Salesforce CRM,
  • Strong knowledge of inventory cost accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Positive personality and strong team management abilities.
