Job Description

We are looking for a competent individual with Private Detective or Security Guard Certifications to undertake the surveillance of the premises and protection of staff, residents, and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal acts by foot patrol and mobile patrol.

The ideal candidate must be able to walk 1 mile each hour, use a radio, phone app, flashlight, and security related equipment. Must be able to communicate in spoken and written English effectively and professionally. Also be able to maintain professionalism, customer service, and inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation and attention to details.

The goal is to maintain safety and peace by keeping the facilities safe, secure, incident and problem-free. This current opening is for immediate start and immediate hire. Weekends required. Pay is weekly on Mondays. The site is unarmed and at a religious institution. Looking for serious applicants that are reliable and can be on time.

Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly by foot or vehicle to maintain order and establish a security presenceMonitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the propertyRemove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area by escort verbally whenever possibleSecure all exits, doors and windows during and before end of shift.Check surveillance cameras, if applicable, to further identify individuals causing disruptions or unlawful actsInvestigate people for suspicious activity or possessions after first creating a case with photographic evidence and surveillance.Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation. Assisting in the evacuation of the premises if necessaryProvide assistance to people in need and escort visitors and deliveriesNotify site supervisor of any problems or incidents that occur.Submit reports of daily surveillance activity (Observations) and important occurrences every hour using our digital report log.

Skills

Proven experience in security fieldKnowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safetyFamiliarity with report writingExcellent communication, surveillance, and observation skillsTrained in CPR/ First Aid/AEDS and self-defense (will train)Registered as a Security Guard or Private Detective with Maryland State Police. High School diploma or GED is required.
