Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a secure environment, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will support positive interactions throughout your shift. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual circumstances.
• Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
