Description: Prominence Security Incorporated seeks applicants for the position of unarmed Retail Security Officer in Houston Texas. This position involves patrolling a retail shopping center on foot, vehicle, and Segway-type device. Candidates must comply with strict uniform and appearance requirements and be able to walk, stand, or drive for up to eight hours at a time. This position utilizes mobile, cloud-based reporting which requires familiarity with mobile technology.

Requirements:

• EXPERIENCE: 6 months of high contact security in posts such as malls, hospitals, museums, loss prevention, or government facilities. Preferred hiring given to candidates with experience in fields such as military, law enforcement, corrections, Fire/EMS, or other public Safety. One year of full time in-person customer service employment is an acceptable alternative.
• LICENSING: Preference is given to candidates who possess a private security license issued by the Department of Public Safety.
• DRIVING: Applicants must have a clean and current driver license from any state.
• TOBACCO USAGE: Employees will be prohibited from using tobacco products or vaping while on client property except during authorized break periods and in designated locations.
• Employees will be required to attend and complete training involving TASER deployment, baton usage, handcuffing, unarmed self-defense, and CPR/AED within 60 days of hire.

Compensation & Scheduling:

• Full Time Positions available with fixed schedules. Overnight and daytime. 
• Paid $16.50-$17.00 per hour
