Lake Appliance, a family-owned leader in appliance repair services, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Residential Appliance Repair Technician to join its expanding team. In this role, you’ll diagnose and repair a diverse array of household appliances, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold Lake Appliance’s reputation for honesty and excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges, cooktops, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, and trash compactors, ensuring top-quality results.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing client needs with enthusiasm and ensuring satisfaction on every job.
  • Promote Lake Appliance services and products during customer visits to drive add-on sales and meet commission-based revenue goals.
  • Achieve performance metrics, contributing to team and company success.
  • Complete detailed Pre-Visit Reports (PVRs) for each service call using a company-provided iPad, maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on repair techniques and brand-specific standards.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge through hands-on experience and professional development.
  • Adhere to all Lake Appliance policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on appliance repair experience with brands like Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, or Electrolux.
  • Certifications: CFC/EPA Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities; proficiency with iPads for invoicing, technical research, and parts ordering.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills with an upbeat, customer-first approach.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks in residential settings.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating a company-provided vehicle.
  • Background: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
