Seven Oaks Search is representing a rapidly expanding, family-run 3PL/freight brokerage seeking an experienced cradle-to-grave Freight Broker to join their team. This role 100% remote and is ideal for a broker who is already successful in a similar position, is ready to make an immediate impact, and is looking to increase their earnings without the constraints of a corporate environment.

Position Overview

The Freight Broker will manage the full brokerage lifecycle: prospecting new shippers, quoting freight, sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, booking loads, and tracking shipments through final delivery. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role where success is entirely performance-driven.

The client offers top-tier systems, including Aljex, 3PL Systems/TMS, DAT 360, Macropoint, Sylectus and additional load boards - giving the broker a strong operational foundation to execute at a high level.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow a personal book of business through outbound sales calls, emails, and relationship-building with shippers.
• Work directly with customers to understand freight needs, provide accurate quotes, and secure shipment opportunities.
• Post loads, source carriers, and negotiate rates to ensure profitability and service reliability.
• Book shipments, coordinate scheduling, and manage all communication between shippers and carriers.
• Track and trace all shipments under your management, providing proactive updates and resolving any in-transit issues.
• Maintain detailed records of quotes, shipments, carrier performance, and customer interactions.
• Monitor market trends, rate fluctuations, and capacity conditions to quote competitively and maximize margins.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of proven experience as a cradle-to-grave Freight Broker or Freight Agent.
• Existing book of business or strong industry relationships highly preferred.
• Strong ability to negotiate with both shippers and carriers.
• Demonstrated success in an autonomous brokerage role - confident managing sales, operations, and communication end-to-end.
• Proficient or willing to quickly learn systems such as Aljex, 3PL Systems, DAT, Macropoint, and similar platforms.
• Highly organized, resilient, and motivated by uncapped earning potential.
