Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer communications industry, is seeking a dedicated Proofreader to join their team. As a Proofreader, you will be an essential part of the Creative Support Department, working closely with the Digital and Production teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Proofreader

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri (On-site)

What's the Job?

• Proofread consumer-targeted communication materials generated by the agency to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Verify proper grammar, spelling, and adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.
• Review packaging and collateral materials for correct size, type specifications, and placement on layouts.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Trade Commission packaging regulations, trademarks, and legal mandatories.
• Collaborate effectively with creative teams, legal, regulatory, and client organizations to secure accurate materials.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree required; English major preferred.
• Minimum of three years of professional proofreading, editing, or copywriting experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Strong knowledge of spelling, grammar, and editing principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital keyline processes, Macintosh computers, and Word processing programs.
