We are seeking a self-driven, quasi-technical Security Project Manager to oversee and drive the patch management program for security projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Enterprise Patch Management (EPM) and security best practices, ensuring that all security patches are effectively tracked, scheduled, and deployed. This role requires excellent coordination, stakeholder management, and technical understanding of security patching processes.

Project Management & Coordination:

  • Lead and manage patch management projects, ensuring security patches are identified, scheduled, and deployed across enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and timelines for patching initiatives.
  • Track and report patching progress, ensuring compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and challenges related to patch deployment and provide mitigation strategies.

Technical & Security Oversight:

  • Work closely with IT security and infrastructure teams to prioritize security patching across all endpoints, servers, and network devices.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, CIS, and ISO security standards.
  • Assist in evaluating patching tools, automation, and reporting mechanisms to enhance patch deployment efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for patching program updates, risks, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, operations, and executive leadership, to drive patch compliance.
  • Generate reports on patching status, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments for leadership review.

Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Continuously improve patching processes by identifying bottlenecks, enhancing automation, and refining best practices.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and audit compliance for patch management.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for teams involved in patch management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, security patch management, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of patch management best practices , security vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with patching tools such as SCCM, WSUS, Tanium, Ivanti, or other enterprise patch management solutions.
  • Ability to analyze security vulnerabilities and assess their impact on enterprise infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills , with experience working across IT, security, and executive teams.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL .
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise patch management programs for a highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with cloud security patching (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $90000 to $127000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
