Job Description

AAA Roofing is a commercial/ industrial roofing contractor headquartered in Riverside, CA and operating in several Western states. Specializing in new construction, existing building re-roofs, tenant improvements, service, maintenance, and leak detection.

AAA Roofing is seeking an experienced Project Manager who is goal-oriented, self-motivated, and extremely organized. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of construction procedures as well as material and project management principles.

The Project Manager must have excellent communication skills, the ability to stick to tight timelines, excellent communication and negotiation skills, proven experience as a successful Project Manager, be comfortable dealing with a variety of individuals including vendors, employees and senior management and have a willingness to learn about all facets of growing our brand.

Essential Functions :

Oversee construction projects from in range from $50,000 to $5,000,000.

Oversee construction projects from beginning to end.

Manage the budget and estimate costs.

Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.

Keep track of inventory, tools, and equipment.

Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.

Prepare reports regarding job status.

Resolve any problems that may arise.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Evaluate risks.

Train and mentor construction workers and construction laborers depending on the size of the project.

Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key team members of the project team.

Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements.

Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.

Plan construction operations.

Ensure all deadlines are met.

Delegate responsibilities.

Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.

Keep all key personnel aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.

Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.

Qualifications :

Demonstrates record of successful project management in complex situations

Must be able to work in a team environment

Effective organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Flexible and able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Accurate, detail oriented, dependable, and punctual

Must be resourceful, flexible, and maintain the ability to react and respond quickly with a focus on accuracy

Displays initiative and strong sense of personal motivation as well as responsibility

Willingness and patience to improve/refine work product

Ability and willingness to travel to various locations as required

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in working with commercial real estate construction; preferably in the roofing industry.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent and commensurate combination of education and experience

Work Environment :

This job operates in a construction field environment with various working conditions such as confined space, noise exposure, hazardous materials/conditions, weather exposure, extreme temperatures and potential allergens and irritants.

This position also operates in an office environment.

Physical Demands :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, climb, bend, stoop, kneel or squat, crouch, and drive. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distant vision.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m . Must be able to work overtime as needed.
