Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace and Defense Company is seeking talented college students to join our 2026 summer internship program. Our 12-week internship program is designed to provide real-world and hands-on experience in areas that interest you! As an intern, you will collaborate with industry experts to solve real-world challenges and change the way we do business. Product (Manufacturing) Interns will provide project support through:

1. Development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation (including manufacturing instructions, routings, process specifications and tooling) as well as product testing requirements and methods.
2. Solving manufacturing problems, investigating process failures and implementing corrective actions
3. Coordination with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs, creation of the required documentation, and internal and customer approval of documentation.
4. Interface with production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors.
5. Implementation of Lean methodologies including standard work, point of use tooling, material presentation and process improvements.
6. Development of layouts of manufacturing cell design including tooling, machinery and equipment.
7. Technical compliance and risk assessment
8. Creating standard work and contributing to manufacturing cell planning

Qualified candidates will be pursuing a bachelor's degree with Junior standing at the time of application.
