Job Purpose/Summary: This position will perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on specified pipeline assets and assists in other areas of pipeline operations depending upon experience level.
Job Responsibilities - Cleans and maintains pipeline right-of-ways.
- Conducts repairs including ILI verification digs, pipeline change outs, re-coats, etc.
- Assists in pipeline construction and maintenance.
- Acts as relief for Station Operators as requested.
- Locates and marks pipelines with locator and respond to "one call" system.
- Cooperates with operations personnel during DOT required inspections.
- Performs duties related to pipeline construction and maintenance
- Performs routine and non-routine maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of station, pipeline, and terminal facilities.
- Assists in 24/7 Emergency Response.
- Complies with all job-related Plains safety policies and procedures.
- Assists with any other pipeline related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
- Must have mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps and drawings.
- Basic computer skills: Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, etc
- Ability to successfully complete company Haz-Mat training, required DOT operator qualifications to perform pipeline mechanical operations and mandatory safety training.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to work in moderate to heavy physically demanding working conditions, including working outdoors in an open environment with extremes of heat and cold.
- Ability to work in team environment.
Preferred
Petroleum industry experience
Qualifications: - Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
- Fluent speaking & writing English required.
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A Testing #Plains
