Frassati Catholic Academy is hiring a full-time music teacher for the 2025-26 school year. The music teacher teaches music to all students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade. It is mostly a vocal music program, though teaching basic instruments such as Orff instruments, recorders, xylophones is part of the expectation. The goal of our music program is to introduce children to the elements of music, and to help them use music as a way to glorify God through their talents. The music program should bring the joy and beauty of music to the children. The music teacher is also expected to lead music at our all-school mass weekly, as well as coordinate and lead an annual Christmas concert.
Requirements:Applicants must be fully initiated and practicing Catholics in full communion and agreement with the Catholic Church. Candidates must have a passion for sacred music and have the skills to bring that passion to children. Qualified candidates must be strong musicians themselves, possessing excellent vocal and piano skills. Candidates with a degree in music education are preferred, but candidates with other music qualifications will also be considered. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree at minimum. The selected candidate will be required to attend Safe Environment training and pass a background check.
