Mechanical Engineer (Fluid Systems/DFM),Torrance,$120,000-155,000 + equity + healthcare

Mechanical Engineer sought for a fast-growth startup business who are hugely scaling and are massively mission driven - focused on environmental/water sustainability through groundbreaking

technology & innovation. The Mechanical Engineer (with pump design or rate manufacturing experience) to come and join and lead the design and optimization of the main pump of their products as well as build and test pump prototypes to validate performance.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will ideally have a background in fluid systems or high volume manufacturing. The role involves owning consumer hardware from conceptual design as well as develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.

Location: Torrance

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop production lines for manufacturing the product including robot end effector design, process development, control system design and more
• Refine production systems to achieve high rate and reliable manufacturing processes
• Test & iterate on products to ensure high reliability and performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Proficient in CAD and FEA software packages
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design
• Strong experience with any of the following: consumer hardware, designing and testing high pressure pumps or fluid systems OR strong experience with high volume manufacturing
• Familiar with techniques such as DFM or DFA
• Able to collaborate across multi disciplinary teams

This role is offering between $120,000-155,000 depending on experience + equity + healthcare plus other benefits
