Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing & Social Media Manager oversees the social media and marketing strategy and execution for Frontwave Arena, San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers. The role requires an understanding of marketing principles, advertising strategy, tactics and channels, the social media landscape, ability to tell compelling stories and engage using the unique brand voice for each entity and what impacts the performance of social media posts and develop plans to positively impact the business and exceed goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop strategic marketing plans and campaigns to meet determined objectives for San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers or take developed plans and assist with execution. Create and implement marketing strategies, analyzing market trends, overseeing budgets and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of campaigns and day-to-day marketing responsibilities. Help drive revenue in all channels through the development and execution of marketing and branding campaigns to drive ticket sales, increase revenues and generate season ticket leads. Manage channel and content plan and execution for assigned clients inclusive but not limited to email, social, website, onsite, event activation, advertising, media partnerships, 3 rd party management. Develop and execute a social media strategy for Frontwave Arena, San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers. Daily management of social media accounts with an emphasis on creating compelling on-brand content, engagement, listening and replying. Create and execute content calendars for each account. Work with internal and external teams todetermine content and timing with an emphasis on reinforcing key message points, promotions, campaigns and fun daily content to engage with community. Game day coverage for San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers home and away games by creating and executing content plan. Onsite execution expected for home games. Capture, develop, post and share content that drives community engagement and growth. Work with internal and external teams to develop compelling content that embodies and personifies brands, drives awareness of key messages and complements all marketing e?orts. Measure performance of social posts and campaigns to determine e?ectiveness. Produce weekly reports that measure and analyze campaign performance and sentiment. Monitor and measure the impact of social media on brand and product spotlight efforts. Track social media, technology and content trends and develop strategic plans to implement new ideas to drive growth and engagement. Develop email strategy and content to complement campaigns and initiatives by further communicating key message points. Manage website content and necessary updates. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the following minimum requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of social media, marketing and writing experience. Must demonstrate extensive experience in social media management for a major brand, sports team or entertainment venue with expertise in copywriting, content development, blogging, engagement and brand advocacy. Will be asked to provide specific examples in all aforementioned areas as well as reply strategy implementation. Must demonstrate extensive experience in marketing in the sports industry with expertise in marketing planning and execution, copywriting, content development, advertising and brand advocacy. Strong analytical skills are required with proven ability to gauge brand sentiment, impact and create recommendations to further growth and address insights. Ability to work with industry standard tools and equipment to capture photography and video content. Must be a strong collaborator with good time management and organizational skills. Excellent written and communication skills in all channels and formats a requirement with a demonstrated ability to correctly use punctuation and grammar. Ability to work collaboratively and independently to develop content. Proficiency in shooting, editing, photography and creating graphic content a plus. Must demonstrate knowledge of current events, pop culture and social trends. Proficient in various Adobe software (Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, LightRoom).
