We are seeking a talented and driven Project Architect to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: As an Intern Landscape Architect, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the design and execution of all types of projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and other design professionals to create innovative and functional environments.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Work with the Lead Landscape Architect to execute all types of projects, including
conceptualization, space planning, programming, and schematic design.
▪ Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, and consultants to develop design
solutions that align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
▪ Conduct thorough research to stay current with industry standards, guidelines, and emerging
trends, incorporating this knowledge into design strategies.
▪ Assist in the development of comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings,
specifications, and materials selection, while ensuring compliance with local codes and
regulations.
▪ Participate in the construction administration phase, conducting site visits, addressing
design-related issues, and coordinating with contractors to ensure design intent is maintained
throughout construction.
▪ Foster a collaborative and inclusive design process, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing
among project teams and peers.
Qualifications:
▪ Professional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
▪ Previous office or field experience is a plus but not required.
▪ Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, Sketchup, ArcGIS, and Adobe
Creative Suite. Revit and Enscape experience is a plus.
▪ Strong understanding of design principles, function, and scale.
▪ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex design ideas
clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
▪ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
▪ Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Location: This position will be in Jackson, Mississippi.
