Job Description

Komar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution of apparel with a diverse portfolio of owned and licensed brands, has an immediate opening for an entry level Packaging Designer. Candidate should be proficient in packaging and print design. This role will primarily focus on working with various apparel brands & labels to build out packaging design concepts utilizing brand guidelines and product photography. As well as, creating physical mockups of packages and various other printed assets.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize packaging (boxes, bags, hangtags) and present for use in Retail and E-Com Environments.
• Create physical mockups as needed and prepare production-ready digital files for all packaging artwork.
• Review new substrates and materials for packaging applications that maintain sustainability standards.
• Create print assets (mailers/postcards, posters, etc. ) and production-ready digital files.
• Ensure all files are organized and maintained.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic or Packaging Design, or related field.
• 1-2 Years agency or in-house designer experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop; InDesign a plus).
• Understanding of packaging process (die-lines, materials, finishes).
• Knowledge of Adobe Dimension/Substance, After Effects, Premiere and AI software(Firefly and/or MidJourney) is a plus.
• Must have working knowledge 0f 3-D software for packaging and development, presentation preferred.
• Efficient in Microsoft Teams.
• A strong sense of typography.
• The ability to manage multiple projects across a wide variety of brands.
• Need to be proactive, with a strong sense of time management and deadlines.
