Job Description
7:00 AM – Lunch
o Dump Chips from all machines (Swiss, Mill, Lathe, Multiplex).
o Clean Surface Plates in shop. Organize shop inspection tools.
o Floors: Sweep up chips, floor dry, and trash. Pick up banding, empty boxes, etc. and discard. Mop up oil and coolant spills on floor or leaks around machines.
o Collect dirty shop towels from workbenches, machines, floor, etc.
o Empty all trash cans. Empty trash in Inspection Room, Tool Crib, and Lunch Room on Wednesday afternoon.
o Clean manual machines: Sanders, Buffers, Drill Presses, Grinders, Chuckers, Lathe, Mill.
LUNCH
After Lunch – 2:00 PM
o Clean shop restrooms: Clean toilet and sink, empty trash, mop floor, restock paper towels and toilet paper.
o Collect dirty coolant, mop water and any other oily water and dump it into the evaporator. Run evaporator every afternoon (if needed). **Once weekly** on Monday morning, before adding any more oily water, drain evaporator using "Tornado" vacuum.
o Clean CNC machines (Approximately 3 per day): Wipe with degreaser/shop towels from top to bottom/all parts of machine. Use care around running machines.
2:00 PM – End of Shift
