We are seeking a talented and passionate Data Science Intern to support our data-driven sales and member strategies. This role involves working with cloud providers such as Google and AWS, as well as public Generative AI platforms like ChatGPT. The intern will apply advanced data science techniques to optimize lead generation and client referral processes while contributing to a deeper understanding of our members and their connections. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, and statistical modeling, with proficiency in Python, Snowflake, and data lakes. This internship also offers learning opportunities in cloud technologies and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) work using Vertex AI and Bedrock.
• Develop and train models on Generative AI platforms like ChatGPT.
• Analyze leads and client referrals to optimize sales processes and improve conversion rates.
• Apply machine learning techniques such as k-nearest neighbors (KNN) to strengthen member insights.
• Utilize Python and data science tools (e.g., Snowflake, data lakes) for data management, analysis, and transformation.
• Implement statistical methods, including confidence intervals and predictive modeling, to generate actionable insights.

Requirements

• Recent graduate or junior/senior college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline
• Availability for 20-30 hours per week in a hybrid work environment at our Downtown Denver office.
• Must be available for standup meetings between 8-10 AM MT.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and experience with Generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data science tools like Snowflake and data lakes.
• Solid foundation in machine learning principles, statistical methods, and algorithms including confidence intervals and nearest neighbor techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and generate insights efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while delivering impactful results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
