Position Overview:
We are seeking an Inside Account Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding our market reach within the distributor segment. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strategic approach to developing and nurturing distributor relationships. As an Inside Account Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new distributors, as well as maintaining and growing our existing distributor base. Your efforts will directly impact the visibility and sales of the A.M. Leonard brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and Onboard New Distributors (60%):
    • Proactively research and prospect new distributor opportunities.
    • Develop strong relationships with potential distributors to facilitate successful onboarding.
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling pitches tailored to prospective distributors.
    • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings to present the A.M. Leonard product line and value proposition.
 
  • Maintain and Grow Existing Distributors (40%):
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing distributors.
    • Identify growth opportunities within the current distributor base and work collaboratively to enhance sales channels.
    • Provide ongoing support and training to ensure distributors are well-equipped to sell A.M. Leonard products effectively.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for distributor inquiries and issues, ensuring swift resolution and satisfaction.
    • Meet and exceed sales targets through effective negotiation and consultative sales techniques.
    • Analyze distributor performance and market trends to guide strategic initiatives.
    • Regularly report on sales performance, progress, and updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in sales, account management, or a similar role, preferably within the horticultural, lawn and garden, or related industry.
    • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

BENEFITS

We offer a high deductible health plan (HDHP), dental, and vision insurance. We contribute $60 per month to enrolled employees’ HSA accounts.

Employees and their dependents who are enrolled in our HDHP also have access to our employee health clinic where they can access healthcare for well and sick visits, immunizations, lab services, and more at no cost. Employees not enrolled in our HDHP can still have access to our employee health clinic for just $20 per paycheck. There are also prescriptions available through this clinic at no cost. Employees can also access quick, convenient, and no-cost healthcare in the comfort of their homes 24/7 through our telemedicine partner.

Employees also receive life insurance and short-term disability at no cost, and they have the option to purchase increased coverage through payroll deductions. We also offer long term disability, various Aflac plans, and a 401k plan with matching.

Employees receive paid time off from day one, including 80 hours of vacation time (prorated based on the start date for the first year) and 40 hours of personal time. After the first full year of employment, eight additional hours of vacation are granted annually.
