Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription: Job Summary: United Coatings is looking for an experienced estimator to join our fast-growing company. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial painting, powder coating, and sandblasting projects. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry, materials, labor costs, and the ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to develop accurate cost estimates for industrial painting, powder coating, and sandblasting projects. Collaborate with the general manager to gather necessary information for the estimation process. Analyze and calculate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and other costs required for each project. Prepare detailed estimates, including itemized lists of materials, labor, and equipment, along with timelines for project completion. Communicate with clients to clarify project details and provide technical support during the bidding process. Update and maintain a database of pricing, labor rates, and other relevant information to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and pre-bid conferences as needed. Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices. Assist in the preparation of proposals, budgets, and project schedules as required. Monitor ongoing projects to assess and compare actual costs against estimates, making adjustments as necessary. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator in the industrial painting, coating, or construction industry, preferably with experience in wet and powder coating, and sandblasting. Strong knowledge of materials, processes, and equipment used in industrial painting and sandblasting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents. Proficient in estimation software and tools, with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications or education in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus. Benefits: Competitive salary.
