Vice President of Procurement for a luxury hotel & resorts in the Bahamas and Caribbean This is a unique opportunity to lead procurement operations for a group of world-class luxury resorts in the Caribbean. The Vice President of Procurement will play a crucial role in maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence by ensuring seamless supply chain management and procurement strategies that enhance guest satisfaction and operational success. Position Overview: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of Procurement will lead the centralized purchasing strategy and oversee procurement, logistics, warehouse, and materials management for a prestigious luxury hotel resort in the Bahamas. This senior leadership role is responsible for optimizing procurement operations, ensuring cost efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support the resort’s exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the resort’s operational and financial goals. Oversee all aspects of procurement, including sourcing, vendor negotiations, contract management, and purchasing activities. Manage logistics, warehousing, and materials management to ensure the efficient and timely availability of goods and services. Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and capitalize on new opportunities. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service standards. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical procurement standards. Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, Operations, and Food & Beverage, to streamline purchasing processes and enhance operational efficiency. Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive strategic decision-making and improve procurement performance. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and/or Logistics, preferably within the luxury hospitality or resort industry. Proven track record of optimizing procurement operations and driving cost efficiencies in a complex, high-end service environment. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish long-term strategic supplier partnerships. Deep understanding of supply chain management, vendor relations, and procurement best practices. Experience in managing logistics, warehousing, and materials management in an international setting. Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software systems. Strong understanding of Caribbean market dynamics, import/export regulations, and supply chain challenges is a plus.
