Job Summary

As a Sales Associate, you will focus on identifying and acquiring new customers, managing home improvement projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a commission-based role, offering significant earning potential for motivated individuals who are ready to make a meaningful impact in the roofing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Acquisition :
  • Seek out and acquire new customers in Arlington Heights and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients and understand their needs.
  • Present tailored roofing and home improvement solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead Generation :
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, referrals, and marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, following up to close sales.
  • Market Growth :
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for expanding into new neighborhoods or regions.
  • Stay informed about local market trends and competitor activities.
  • Sales Execution & Home Improvement Job Execution :
  • Obtain a detailed work order from each customer, including all project requirements.
  • Schedule roofing, gutter, siding, and other necessary jobs in coordination with the back office.
  • Follow up with customers before the job starts to confirm details and address any concerns.
  • Provide exceptional post-job support by following up and addressing any customer questions or issues after the work is completed.
  • Client Relationships :
  • Build lasting relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reporting :
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and work orders in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the sales manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience :
  • Previous sales experience in roofing, construction, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and ensure project success.
  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is a bonus.
  • Skills :
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and basic computer skills.
  • Other Requirements :
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
  • Interest in learning about roofing products and services.
